1 of 4 Women One Ask Doctor Buy Drug For Google

1 in 4 women have bought the wrong drug after they try to diagnosis their illness via internet. There is 1 of 10 such women suffer side effects of that action.


According to the study, half of the women had diagnosed theirself online and buy the medication without first asking doctor about the  medication. On same proportion, women also claim to be seeking treatment for their health problems before consulting doctor.

The reason, one of 10 women feel hesitant to discuss their health problems with family. They do not want any too much attention among family, while a third claimed to find an explanation about the disease from internet as a guide before go to the doctor. Even a quarter of women say they fear when speaking with doctor.

Ironically, one third of women have spent at least two weeks of her own struggle with her health problems before seeing a doctor. Even 1 in 20 women claimed have spent more than a year to face their disease before seeking medical help.

Most of disease symptoms that experienced by women who try to diagnose by themselves are sleep problems, headaches, depression,  muscle pain, itching and fatigue. This kind of disease usually encourage women to consult with Dr. Google.

Because of inadequate medical knowledge, as a result 5 from 10 women for some time suspected that they suffered from serious illness. According to the survey, the most frequent false diagnosis occur in most women is associated with breast cancer. Many women also have been wrongly diagnosed that she was suffering from mouth ulcers, high blood pressure or asthma.

As reported by The Telegraph on Wednesday (4/18/2012), a survey of 1,000 women was conducted by women's health product brands from the UK, Balance Activ.
